Traffic stop leads to three arrests and multiple charges

On Jan. 9 at approximately 10:00 a.m,. officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP were on patrol on Hwy 401 eastbound and observed tinted windows on a vehicle that caused the interior to be obscured.

Officers initiated a traffic stop after investigation revealed that the car had expired plates and the vehicle was not insured.

As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP has charged:

A 21-year-old of Brampton, with:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance – (Heroin)

·      Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

·      Colour coating obscuring interior

·      Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit

A 49-year-old of Brampton was charged with:

  • Possession of a stolen credit card
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of an identity document
  • Fail to comply with probation
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – (Methamphetamine)

A 26-year-old of Cambridge was charged with:

  • Fail to comply with probation
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – (Heroin)

All accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 30.
