Report of a suspicious vehicle in Dundas Street parking lot leads to drug charges for Saskatoon man

On Jan. 12 at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in an apartment parking lot off Dundas Street in Greater Napanee.

Police arrived on scene and located a driver sleeping inside a running vehicle.   The investigation revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier by a rental company. The individual was arrested at the scene.

As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP has charged a 29-year-old of Saskatoon, Sask. with:

  • Operation While impaired – alcohol and drug
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 16. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
