The public launch of Napanee resident Stephen Medd’s new book, If Lilacs Could Sing, attracted a good crowd to the Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archives on Saturday.

Visitors braved heavy snow to attend and to enjoy the stories behind the songs, along with live performances by Medd and backup musicians John McLurg, Landon Martin and Cliff Trott.

The songs tell the local history of Greater Napanee, and the book includes photographs of the people and places in many of the songs.

Copies of the book are available from the author, who can be contacted at napanee@stephenmedd.ca
