Hastings-Lennox and Addington communities will be receiving a share of $6.9 Million in funding from the Ontario Government through OCIF (Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund).

Local municipalities use OCIF support to build and repair roads, bridges, water and wastewater infrastructure.

Among the 21 communities to receive funding in Friday’s announcement were Deseronto ($50,000), Tyendinaga ($61,767), Stone Mills ($199,036), Greater Napanee ($667,666), Loyalist ($752,230) and the County of Lennox and Addington ($761,841).

Hastings-Lennox and Addington MPP Daryl Kramp said in a statement he welcomes the funding to his riding.

“This will create jobs, attract economic growth and investment, and make our communities stronger,” said MPP Kramp. “This funding will help all the municipal governments in our community cope with the infrastructure costs which directly affect the quality of life.”
