After a OMHA mandated week away from regional playoff games, Napanee Stars teams have a full schedule this week. The top team moves on to the OMHA weekend finals, in Windsor for qualifying U18s, and in Barrie for the rest of the qualifying squads on April 1.

On Monday, the U15s were in Wellington for Game 3 of their four game series, losing 2-0 to Prince Edward County. Their hosts scored a power play marker in the first, and got another in the dying seconds of the game to eliminate the Stars from contention.

The U11 Stars earned another 3-3 tie in Campbellford on Monday after tying them 3-3 earlier. The team tallied three in the second after giving up a power play goal in the first. Campbellford got two of their own in the third. Cooper Plumley, Maddux Hartwick, and Casey Allore lit it up for Napanee. These two teams and Frontenac were tied with six points each in the four team round robin grouping, and all had games remaining with lowly Stirling. Napanee will host them tomorrow night.

The Desjardins Insurance U13 Stars have a solid lead in their four team group with two wins before tomorrow night’s contest. They will play four games in six nights, ending with a game on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the SPC.

The U18 Stars are home to Frontenac on Thursday at 9 p.m. in a crucial game which will help decide who advances to the OMHA championship weekend in Windsor.

The Conger’s Plumbing U13 AE’s, with a 1-2-0 record, will play Tweed Thursday for their final game of the round robin.
