Officers from the Lennox & Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for assistance in identifying a person of interest after police responded to a report of a male that had approached a 12-year-old female at the Napanee fair midway.
At approximately 5:15 p:m on Aug. 5, 2023, a suspicious male walked up and grabbed the females arm and started to lead her away from the midway. They were walking towards the agricultural buildings when the young female pulled free from the male and ran to the nearest people for safety.
The male is described as approximately 50 years of age, balding with short dark hair, approximately 5’10” tall, overweight white male, wearing a black shirt and orange shorts.
