Police arrest fifth suspect in connection to Jan. 28 home invasion, one suspect still wanted

A third individual, wanted in connection with a Jan. 28 home invasion, kidnapping and assault in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory has been arrested.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad located and arrested Patrick Lennox, age 37, today (Feb. 9) in Napanee. He is charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon – two counts
  • Kidnapping – two counts
  • Forcible confinement
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Robbery with violence
  • Theft under $5000
  • Break and enter with intent to commit and indictable offence
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Disguise with intent

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Tyendinaga Police Service continue to ask for the public’s help to locate the remaining individual, Ashley Cummings, age 36 of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, wanted on the same charged.

The incident happened Jan. 28, around 4:30 a.m., at a residence on Atsia Court on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. It was reported that several individuals had entered the home, assaulted a male and took him away in a vehicle. He was assaulted again and was then dropped off in another part of the community. The victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

Several other individuals are already in custody in the case.
