Funeral arrangements announced for former MP Daryl Kramp

Daryl Kramp, a prominent political figure in the Hastings-Lennox and Addinging area, passed away Thursday at the age of 76.

Kramp served as Conservative Member of Parliament for Hastings-Prince Edward from 2004-15. Later he successfully ran at the provincial level, winning the seat for the Hastings-Lennox and Addington riding from 2018-22, choosing not to seek re-election in 2022.

Born in Kirkland Lake, he was a police officer and restaurateur before entering the political arena.

Kramp is father of current Hastings Lennox and Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman.

“A life of greatness lived with purpose, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration,” Kramp-Neuman shared on social media along with photos of her father. “An extraordinary man who embodied wisdom, kindness, integrity, and devotion to family, community, and nation.”

Flags at the L&A County Court House were lowered in tribute to Kramp.

At Rushnell Funeral Home – Madoc, 112 Durham Street South, on Tuesday, February 13, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday, February 14, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father Justin Pulikunnel, at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 115 Durham Street North Madoc, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Committal Prayers, White Lake Cemetery in the Spring.
