OPP rescue a feathered friend

An officer with the Lennox and Addington OPP rescues an osprey that had fallen from its nest at a ball diamond. Photo from OPP Twitter.

A Lennox and Addington OPP officer was making a routine check at a local ball diamond when he noticed an animal was in distress.

An osprey had apparently fallen from its nest on one of the ball park light stands and was injured. The officer gathered up the bird and transported it to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre for treatment and will hopefully be released soon after a full recovery.
