OPP arrest man accused of daylight break and enter in Napanee

L&A OPP arrested a man after a daring daylight break and enter on Sunday morning on Napanee’s Dundas Street and Bridge Street.

Officers responded to the call just after 7 a.m.

Investigation revealed a person who was acting erratically had broken into a house on Dundas Street in Napanee and damaged property inside the house. The person then departed and went through backyards and entered the back door of a residence on Bridge Street. The homeowner was home and was shoved aside by the suspect. The person then barricaded himself in a bedroom and the home owner fled and called police.

The suspected was arrested and charged with two counts of break and enter, four counts of breach of probation, two counts of mischief and one count of assault.

The accused appeared for a bail hearing Tuesday morning.
