Six NDSS cross-country runners advanced to Saturday’s OFSAA championship, which will be held in Etobicoke.

Napanee’s runners punched their tickets based on their strong showing at the EOSSAA championships held Oct. 26 at Kingston’s Fort Henry.

Jack Gregory placed first in the junior boys division, posting a time of 15:54, running a course of five km.

Zachary Wilde was fourth overall in the novice boys, completing the four km course in 14:42:66.

NDSS’ entire novice girls entry qualified as a team, competing in the four km course. Kaiah Weese was third overall (16:33:21), Gabriella Stacey was fourth (16:41:08), Theresa Kerr was 28th (18:02:01) and Maddie Blanchard was 52nd (19:38:52).

All six NDSS runners have now qualified to run against the province’s best on Nov. 4 at Etobicoke’s Centennial Park.
