Police charge Loyalist man following serious collision

Members of the Lennox and Addington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged an individual after a collision.

On Oct. 28 shortly before 1 a.m. officers responded alongside other emergency services to a two vehicle collision on Bath Road. One individual was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Officers spoke with the driver of the other vehicle and an approved screening device was administered.

As a result of further testing a 20-year-old from Loyalist Township, was arrested and charged with operation causing bodily harm and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). The individual was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 7.
