Newburgh Community Christmas Concert brings the laughs in triumphant live return
Mrs. Claus, played by Gwen Babcock, can only look on in disbelief as she unwraps a paint roller, dubbed the worst present ever, gifted to her by Santa, played by Mitch Fallis. This skit was part of the 43rd Community Christmas Concert, which made its live return to Newburgh Public School on Saturday following a two-year hiatus where the event was shown online only. As always, the show collected donations that will go towards purchasing gifts for those in need this holiday season. This year’s concert was dedicated to the memory of the late Doris Whalen, who never missed a concert and is mother or grandmother to more than 50 per cent of the cast.
