Lennox and Addington County OPP and the L&A County OPP Crime Unit are warning parents to monitor their children’s screen activity as we all spend more time inside and online.
A 45-year old male was arrested in the Amherstview area last week for child luring over a dating application. In March it was learned that an individual had been attempting to arrange a ‘date’ with a minor child.
Due to the age of the victim and sensitive nature of the case, the accused cannot be named.
The OPP is urging parents to be vigilant when it comes to internet usage by their children and to talk to kids about safety. For more information on how to keep kids safe, visit www.cybertip.ca.
