KFLA Public Health, Maltby Centre to host livestream for parents on preparing kids age 5-11 for COVID-19 needle

Parents of children 5-11 years of age are invited to an online social media livestream to ask questions about preparing their kids for their COVID-19 needle. The livestream on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube will begin at 5 p.m. on Nov. 24 and is sponsored by the Maltby Centre and KFL&A Public Health.

The approval of COVID-19 vaccines for children 5-11 years of age will happen soon, and parents may have questions.

  • How can I prepare my kids for their needle?
  • What if they are worried?
  • What if they have autism?

During the livestream, questions will be answered in real time from the Maltby Centre’s experts in children’s mental health and autism as well as KFL&A Public Health’s medical officer of health.
