Hockey, art and wildlife themed events planned at L&A libraries during March Break

Families looking for amusement over the March Break will need to look no further than Lennox and Addington County’s various library branches.

On March 16 at 2 p.m. the Amherstview Branch (322 Amherst Dr.) will host Reclaimed Creations, which will encourage kids to use creativity and ingenuity to turn an array of recyclables into a masterpiece.

On March 17 the Tamworth Branch (1 Ottawa St.) will welcome members of the Belleville Senators, minor league affiliate of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, for a hockey-themed event, starting at 1 p.m.

On March 18 at 2 p.m. the Napanee Branch (25 River Road) will feature Games to Go, which will include multiple gaming stations, a huge game selection and virtual reality.

March 19 at the Yarker Branch (4315 County Rd 1) will be Wildlife Love, which will showcase an interactive presentation by Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre with a show and tell of specimens such as shells and quills. The event gets underway at 10:30 a.m.

Also on March 19 the Amherstview Branch will host a Gaming Party starting at 2 p.m. 

All programs are free and open to the public.
