Officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP charged a driver with impaired driving after responding to a single vehicle collision.
On Jan. 3 shortly before 3 a.m., L&A OPP were called to a single vehicle collision on York Road just west of Norways Road. When police arrived on scene Paramedic Services were already on scene. The lone female driver was treated for minor injuries. The driver was arrested and brought back to the police detachment for further testing.
As a result of this investigation, L&A County OPP has charged a 32-year-old of Belleville with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Jan, 25, 2024. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
