Bulldogs dethrone Royals 7-4

The Deseronto Bulldogs scored four times in the second period en route to a 7-4 victory over the Bytown Royals Saturday night at the Deseronto Community Rec Centre.

Shamus Barr had two goals and an assist to lead the home team. Matthew Panetta, Joey Mayer, Evan Foley, Griffen Conger and Michael Anson also scored for the ‘Dogs.

Deseronto rallied down 2-0 to secure the win while Graeme Gemmill made 26 saves for the victory.

Deseronto is now 3-5-0-1 on the season to climb into a tie for fourth with Gananoque in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League’s West Division.

The Bulldogs will next host the North Dundas Rockets this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Deseronto Community Rec Centre.
