Yarker Farmers’ Market will return for its fifth season this coming Saturday, with additional dates on Sept. 8, 15 and 29.
The Market is located at Riverside United Church, 2 Mill Street in Yarker. An average of 15 vendors that sell home grown produce and garden flowers from a variety of local farmers and gardeners as well as unique, handmade creations by local artisans will be on site. Riverside United Church has a bake sale with a wonderful selection of fresh, home baked goods at each market and provides a barbecue lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring local burgers and sausages.
Throughout the market season, the candidates for the upcoming Stone Mills municipal election will be offered an invitation to speak with members of the public.
All 16 of the candidates were offered an opportunity to attend one of three upcoming market dates.
