WARREN, Alice Donelda (Donna)

Died peacefully at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee Ontario on June 20, 2023.
She was in her 99th year and to the end, maintained her sense of humour and quick wit.
Donna was raised on a farm along the Sauble River, with the Village of Hepworth and the beaches of Lake Huron nearby. She was raised with her sisters Mary, Doris, and her brothers, Kelly and Jud Robinson.
She married Alfred Moore Brown of Owen Sound on June 7, 1947 and the couple centred their life in Kitchener Ontario and together had three children, Barry, Reg, and Glenn. Donna was tragically widowed in 1957 and with courage and strength returned to school to qualify as a teacher, worked in Kitchener, and independently raised her 3 boys. She married Murray Warren of Kitchener Ontario in 1962 and with Murray’s three children, Greg, Toni, and Rodney Warren navigated a new and large family household.
Murray and Donna moved to Hanover Ontario and enjoyed their retirement years, travelling and actively participating in their children’s lives. Murray died in 2019 and Donna moved to Napanee to live close to her son Glenn and his wife Brenda, of Hay Bay.
Donna Warren is survived by her son Glenn Brown (Brenda), and step children Toni Milligan(Don), Rodney Warren (Tamara), grandchildren Lauren Brown, Andrew Brown, Amy Nikkels (Donald), Caleb Brown (Becky), and Benjamin Brown. Also, Brandon Warren, Carrie-Ann Warren (Justin Scott), and Alisha Warren. Her Great Grandchildren are Alexis, Eli and Mowatt Nikkel, Nathen, Hayley, and Matthew Brown, The Warren great-grandchildren are Ben, Carter Autumn, Decota, Rosland, Ethan, and Brooklyn. Donna had special affection for her friend Pat O’Nei and her nieces Pauline, Laine, Kim, Michele, and Andrea. Other important family include her brother in law Ted (Marian) Warren and many members of the Brown family in the Kitchener Waterloo region. Donna was happy at the Parrott Centre in Napanee and it became her final home. Her family extend their appreciation to the staff for their kindness and care.
Interment will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener and will be followed by a reception later in the summer.
