VAN DUINEN, Hendrik “Hank”
Passed away on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family, at Kingston General Hospital in his 75th year. He was the beloved husband of Anne (nee Boone) in their 49th year of marriage, full of love and joy. He is remembered lovingly by his daughters Devon (Brian Murphy) Van Duinen and Kaitlin (Mike Sparling) Van Duinen. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings late William (Geraldine) Van Duinen, John (Sue) Van Duinen, and Henny (late Ernie) Sands. He remains close in the hearts of his in-laws David (Heather) Boone, and late Mark (Valerie) Boone. Born in Holland, Hank immigrated to Canada as a young boy, where he built a wonderful life for himself and his family. He was a skilled carpenter and wood turner, an active member of the Sandhurst Shores community, and will be remembered for his big smile, endless willingness to help those around him, and hearty laugh. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and impeccable grass cutting and lawn care. Hank was a family man and treasured his special relationships with his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Wartman Funeral Home in Napanee. Service of Celebration will be held in the funeral home on Thursday July 13th, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow the service.
