Lennox and Addington County Warden Ric Bresee has directed that flags at all L&A County work sites be lowered to half-mast for 215 hours, in memory of the 215 children located in a mass grave on the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School. The flags will return to full-mast on June 8, 2021.
Bresee stated, “I hope this small gesture by our County government, will express our deepest sympathies to survivors, families, Indigenous Nations and all those affected by this tragedy.”
