The U18 Napanee Stars defeated South Muskoka 2-1 in the Final to win the Prince Edward County Milk Tournament. It was sweet revenge after an earlier loss to this same team. Sunday, they revenged their loss to Pembroke with a 3-1 in in the semi-finals, after they defeated Cornwall 5-4 in overtime to reach the semifinals. Zered Haller got the overtime winning goal. The Stars had defeated Cornwall 4-3 in preliminaries, lost 4-3 to South Muskoka, and fell 8-3 to Pembroke. It was an excellent comeback for the boys.

The U11 North Fleet Squad, a team that is made up of mainly minor-aged players, took one on the chin 24-0 at home to Loyalist. On Sunday, they dropped a 6-0 decision facing Campbellford on Goodyear ice. Goalie Clayton Manion was outstanding facing a heavy barrage of shots to keep the locals in the game. He blanked them in the third, after allowing three in each of the first two periods.

Sunday the U13’s were edged 3-2 in Douro. Liam Mulder and Quinn McConnell scored for the Stars.

Napanee’s U9 Minor Development team began their season with a solid performance in Stirling, winning 17-5.
