The D&D Electrocraft U18 Napanee Stars closed out 2023 with a solid 5-1 win at home to Prince Edward County.  Dylan Kemp roofed one from in close to start the parade.  Ethan Boutilier scored the eventual winner from the slot early in the second. Alex Lavender would tip a shot on the power play for PEC to keep it close, but Napanee would also score on the power play, as Jayden Holden gave a fine setup to Zered Haller.  Tivon James put the game out of reach with a pair of goals in the third- one when Boutlier’s shot missed the net, hit the boards behind the net and bounced out to James. His second was a feed in the crease area from Haller. Shots favoured Napanee 26-16.

-The U15 Stars ended 2023 with a solid 9-1 win in Keene facing Otonabee, and retain their perfect record at 12-0.  Callen Wilson tallied all they needed with two early goals, and Oliver Kimmett added one of his own in the first.  Other scorers were Brock Alaver, Colton Lockridge (2), Keagan York, and Ryder Bruce.  Carter Cork was near-perfect in goal for the locals, and was even credited with a goal.

-The Goodyear U13 Stars kept it close for two periods but lost 7-2 in Norwood on Friday. After the second frame, they trailed by one, thanks to tallies by Grayson Rowe and Bryson Wilson, but the Stars faded in the third.

-The U11 Second team Stars’ woes continued with a loss in Wellington facing the Prince Edward County Kings.
