-The U13 Stars played a solid contest in Gananoque on Saturday to win 5-3. The locals built an early four goal lead in the first on the strength of markers by Dan Hough, Quinn McConnell with two, and Jacob Lyons. The Islanders got three back in the second, but Declan McGarvey netted an insurance goal in the third frame to solidify the victory.

In Tweed on Sunday, they were all over their opponents to win 10-1. They scored six in the first and four in the second, but gave up one in the third.

Maddux Hartwick had the hat trick, Lyons had a pair, and singles were tallied by McGarvey, Ben Babcock, Chase Castagnier, McConnell, and Hudson Conger. The two wins moved them into third place in the league.

-Napanee’s U18 Stars travelled to Douro on Sunday night with first place on the line. Going into the game, their record of 8-1-2 put them up a point on their hosts. In a penalty riddled game, the Stars fell 5-2. Down by two, Owen Kish and Jayden Holden put them back in the game temporarily in the second, but the boys faded from there. Goalie Sam Rickard took the loss.
