It’s been a long time coming, but Andrea Ramolo will finally hit the stage at Napanee’s Ellena’s Café on Feb. 1.

Her appearance, part of the Starstop Concert Series, was originally scheduled for two years ago but was postponed due to the pandemic.

The Toronto-based singer/songwriter is known for her exceptionally moving songwriting and evocative performances. Ramolo has captivated audiences for more than a decade with her powerful and revelatory music, and has toured extensively across this country and abroad.

Her Feb. 1 show gets underway at 7:30 p.m., at the now-licensed Ellena’s Café (16 Dundas St. E, Napanee).

A trained dancer as well as proficient musician and vocalist, Ramolo was previously part of the critically acclaimed roots duo, Scarlet Jane with Cindy Doire, before embarking on a successful career as a solo artist. Her most recent album, Quarantine Dream, is a creative tour de force, enmeshing her emotive vocal prowess with a keen pop sensibility for a truly exceptional recording journey.

Of proud Italian heritage, Ramolo has always embraced and celebrated her cultural inheritance, and has embarked on a wonderfully unique new musical journey in partnership with the entertaining and popular Italy-based recording act Kalàscima.
