The Napanee U15 Stars guaranteed themselves no less than a tie breaker final game, after rolling over Prince Edward County 8-1 in Wellington.

The boys went to play, and lead most of the way in an almost penalty-fee match. Callen Wilson scored in the first minute, while Devin Robinson tallied the winner at the start of the second frame. Other scorers were Luc Asselstine, Colton Lockridge, Oliver Kimmett, Liam Burney, Wilson (his second), and Will Babcock. Carter Cork was again effective in net. They travel to Stirling on Sunday in the last game of the round robin leading the Blues 6-4 in points, and needing just a tie to advance to the Ontario Playoff Weekend in Barrie starting April 7.

The U13 Stars faced Frontenac needing a win to stay alive in their round robin playoffs, but fell 6-4. They came out strong, building a four goal lead in the first period with tallies from Daniel Hough, Chase Castagnier, Keegan Wilde, and Keegan York. Their guests would erase the lead in the second with five of their own with penalties being a factor.

On Saturday, they completed their playoff round with a 4-2 loss facing Stirling. Down by four, they attempted a comeback with goals by Quinn McConnell and York. Frontenac wins the playoff round for this U13 group. The boys were fine community representatives throughout the year.

The U11 Stars wound up their playoffs with a trip to Tweed, where they fell 7-3. Trailing in the second, Ira Bellegarde scored from Hunter O’Hoski. In the third, they would add to their total as Elliott Sullivan stretched the twine with help from Hunter Armstrong. Marcus Luetchford added a late goal assisted by Armstrong. Goalie Clayton Manion performed admirably for the Stars.
