U15 Stars bid for OMHA comes up just short in Game 3

The U15 Napanee Stars battled hard with Ennismore, but were unable to earn a position at the OMHA Provincial Tournament, this year held in Kingston.

They dropped a 5-4 overtime loss in Game 1 with Ennismore. They travelled to Ennismore for Game 2. It was a defensive struggle with goalie Carter Cork being the wall against the opposition. Ben Kerr scored the only goal of the contest to force Game 3 back at the SPC. The boys came out strong in a scoreless first.

The Eagles went up by three in the second, and Napanee also tallied with three of their own from the sticks of Kerr (two) and Brock Alaver, but still trailed 4-3 going into the third. Their guests would put it away with a shot from the slot, and two into the empty net to make it 7-3. Shots favoured Ennismore 31-15.
