LACGH CEO Wayne Coveyduck set to ride off into retirement

In honour of his retirement celebration on Thursday, coupled with his love of motorcycles, outgoing Lennox and Addington County General Hospital CEO Wayne Coveyduck was presented with a custom riding vest from Marg Isbester of LACGH Volunteer Services. The vest was a unique take on the Volunteer Services red vests worn by hospital volunteers, with the intent of enticing him to take on a new role with the hospital following his retirement. It also came with a schedule indicating when Coveyduck could begin his new role as volunteer with the hospital. They were gracious enough not to schedule his first shift until 2025. Along with some fun gifts, the evening also highlighted some of Coveyduck’s many achievements during his 16 years at LACGH such as breaking ground on a long-term care home on the hospital campus, acquiring a CT scanner, establishing a dialysis unit, opening an acquired brain injury home, launching a chemotherapy unit and most recently, the arrival of an MRI machine. Coveyduck’s retirement will begin March 31. Photo by Adam Prudhomme.
