Napanee’s U15 Express girls will be in the spotlight this weekend as they host the PWSA U15 Tier II Qualifier, Friday through Sunday at the Napanee Fairgrounds.
The Express will square off against 10 other squads, playing for seeding ahead of the Grand Championships, Aug. 11-13 in Stratford.
Napanee kicks off the tournament by taking on the Cobourg Angels at 6 p.m. The winner of that game advanced to face the Stittsville 56ers at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Rounding out the tournament field are two Barrie Storm teams, the Kawartha Lakers, the Oshawa Lady B’s, Southeastern Ontario, the Whitby Eagles, a second Stittsville entry and the Brampton Blazers.
Games will be played throughout the weekend with the championship game set for 3 p.m. on Sunday.
