U-18 Stars remain undefeated

The Napanee U-18 Stars remain undefeated after two weekend wins. On Friday in Norwood, they coasted to a 7-0 shutout over their hosts. Saturday’ s home tilt against Campbellford was a tighter game. The locals fell behind three minutes in, but Quinton Pierce set up Spencer Cranley shortly after on a two-on-one for the equalizer. The visitors chipped in a rebound before Pierce went top shelf to even things at two. Zered Haller got the winner 10 minutes into the contest after several rebounds had been blocked. Tyler Brady scored an insurance marker in the second frame on a fine low point shot. Sam Rickard picked up the win in net, with the shot totals favouring Napanee 33-19.

The Napanee U-13 Desjardins Insurance team now has four straight wins on the strength of a 6-1 win in Lakefield, and an 11-0 shutout in Madoc.

The Tomlinson Group U-11 squad also is undefeated after a home ice win, a 9-4 victory over Centre Hastings on Sunday. They now have a 5-0 record which puts them at the top of their division.
