No charges laid after pedestrian struck by car on Halloween night

On Oct. 31, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a pedestrian that was stuck by a motor vehicle on John Street in Greater Napanee.

A vehicle was traveling southbound on John Street when an 11 year old child entered the roadway and collided with the moving southbound vehicle.

The child suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. They remained in hospital for additional treatment.

No charges have been laid, nor are they anticipated, in this occurrence.
