The United Restaurant/Allegiance General Contracting Atom B Crunch are in the LLFHL East finals after knocking off the Whitby Wolves in two games.
They won 4-0 and 1-0 to take the series.
In provincial playdowns, they are now in a must win game in Kemptville this weekend. They tied Glengarry, 1-1 (goal by Lexa Lazarakos assisted by Brooklyn Prevost) and Cornwall, 2-2 (goals by Aven Trickey and Carley Uens, assists by Claire Jarmin and Karleigh Wales).
-Napanee’s Peewee BB Crunch have moved on to the LLFHL East finals. They defeated the Oshawa Generals in two games, winning 3-2 and 1-0.
-The Bantam BB Crunch have moved on to the LLFHL East finals. They defeated the Whitby Wolves 1-0-2 in the four point series. The first game was a 0-0 tie, with Aleaha Mallette earning the shutout. Game 2 was another tie, 1-1. Abby Kish scored the lone goal, assisted by Bethany Foster and Abby Birdsell. This setup a must win Sunday at home. The local fans packed the SPC to cheer on the locals. It was scoreless through two periods, when Kristen Sutton busted loose and buried a puck top shelf. Claire McConnell would add the insurance marker, 28 seconds later, assisted by Charley Weir and Taryn Landine. Keyra Herrington was solid for the shutout. The Crunch are now set to play The Toronto Leaside Wildcats in the East finals.
