Thoughts of a federal election are depressing

The thought of a federal election is depressing as we need to choose progressive leadership and there is obviously very little choice.
Where have all the leaders gone?  It is depressing to hear from Neil MaDonald, the veteran CBC  journalist (The Sun April 11) describe the current Liberal leadership as cynical, patronizing, condescending, arrogant and insulting and in spite of all this may be elected with a majority, simply because the alternative is a “boring  dud”.
We are a country in distress with citizens who will not show up for an election and if we do, we are lazy and give very  little thought to those who deserve our vote.
Deficits and dramatic utterances should not determine who will save our  Canada.
