Tamworth Santa Claus parade set for Nov. 26, followed by Lion’s elves store at the Legion

Santa and Mrs. Claus were prepared for the weather during the 2022 Tamworth Santa Claus Parade. The wet weather held off just long for the floats to pass through the village. The parade returns to the village Nov. 26. Photo by Adam Prudhomme.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to Tamworth on Sunday Nov. 26.

First they are hosting a parade with their friends from the Lions Club, Legion, OPP, Fire department and numerous local businesses, churches and organizations.

After the parade, Santa is inviting children and their families to the Tamworth Legion for chips, hot chocolate, pictures and a visit with Santa. Children can bring their wish list and decorate their own Christmas cookie.

Children are also invited to visit Santa’s Elves in Santa’s Store. The store will be in the Legion, with rows of tables of gifts for mom, dad, siblings, grandparents, etc. As this is a “kids only store”, the elves will help children shop then wrap and tag the gifts.

Children should bring their shopping list of names, a bag to put their purchases in and a minimum donation of $4 per gift.

The Lions Club will also be hosting a sale of wooden crafted trees and small decorative trees. These are great for your porch, mantle, kids room or as a gift. Trees are priced from $5 – $30 and funds raised go to support Lions events and initiatives such as Christmas food hampers and upkeep at Beaver Lake Lions Park.
