Tamworth and Erinsville’s Grassroots Growers will kick off the growing season with the re-introduction of their speaker series, March 28 at St. Patrick’s School in Erinsville.
Aric Aguoine of Earth Haven Farms will be on hand to discuss his food sovereignty project and ideas around growing new traditions together. Building upon traditional teachings, the program demonstrates how community-based regenerative agriculture can foster a reconnection with the earth and each other. He will also explore the importance of soil health through composting and the joy in sharing in the harvest.
After the presentation, members are welcome to participate in a seed exchange, and enjoy some refreshments.
The event is open to all and gets underway at 7 p.m. Any donations received support the Grassroots Growers’ ongoing community events, and the return of our educational bursary program.
