Suspect accused of stealing charity donation box arrested

A suspect accused of stealing a charitable donation box from a Camden Road convenience store has been arrested by Lennox and Addington OPP.

The theft occurred the afternoon of Aug. 6, at which point police released an image of the suspect to their Twitter account for the public’s assistance. 

On Oct. 2 a 37-year-old Kingston man was arrested in connection with the theft and was charged with theft under $5,000 as well as failing to comply with the conditions of his probation. 

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Nov. 5. The police thank the public for their assistance in the case.
