Ontario’s education workers will be on the job tomorrow as the union known as CUPE, which represents 55,000 education workers, say they’ve reached a tentative deal with the Ontario government.

The two sides had been working towards a 5 p.m. deadline on Sunday. Had no deal been reached, CUPE was expected to stage job action across the province and return to the picket line.

CUPE tweeted the following from their official account just after 5:30 p.m.

More details to come.
