With the Andy McGarvey Memorial Tournament just around the corner, the Stars’ teams were all working hard in league play to be ready.
- The Atom BBs got another win to take their perfect record in league play to 13 with a 4-2 win over Prince Edward County. Kohen Cutler had a pair for the locals.
- The Peewee BB squad also maintained their perfect record with home-and-home victories over Campbellford, 16-2 and 15-0. In the home tilt, their shutout featured six goals by Cal Uens, two by Ethan Sutcliffe, and singles tallied by Jake Wood, Ty Kemp, Spencer Cranley, Zared Haller, Luc Amat, Daniel Chase and Carter McKee.
- The Bantam BBs made it four in a row in Norwood, winning 5-3 before falling 5-2 to Centre Hastings on Saturday. Zach Slaven and Oronhyathe Green scored for the Stars.
- The Napanee Midgets got two solid wins on the weekend, beating Loyalist on Friday 4-1 and shutting out Centre Hastings on Saturday. Making the scoresheet on Saturday were Ryan Kirkpatrick (two goals and an assist), Corbin Gibson (two goals), Josh Cudd (one assist), and Nic Yeomans (one assist).
- The Atom Joyce’s Meats AE Stars got two wins over the weekend, with a 6-2 win in Stirling and a 9-3 victory over Centre Hastings at the SPC. Sam McCaw led the way in the home match with a hat trick, while Malcolm McCaw, Sophie Fraser, Evan Gaffney and Nate Vanberkyl also scored.
- The Peewee Calderwood Automation AE gang took it on the chin in Picton 11-5 on Friday night, before recovering with a 2-2 tie facing Loyalist on Saturday. In the latter game, the Stars got goals from Caleb South and Tristan Nissen.
- The Country Traditions Bantam Selects suffered a tough loss to Ajax on Friday. Napanee’s early domination was killed with three Ajax goals in the last 2.5 minutes of the game, including a breakaway buzzer beater. Elliot Mundle led the scoring with two goals and Austin Catena scoring the third.
Napanee Crunch
- The AFW Construction Napanee Novice BB Crunch came up just short against top ranked Frotenac last Tuesday, falling 3-2. They rebounded to beat Stirling 3-1 Saturday and tied Ennismore 3-3 on Sunday.
