Napanee’s Southview Public School will be moving to online learning starting Monday for the remainder of the week.

Parents and guardians with students at the school were sent the following email:

“As a result of more rigid self-isolation requirements recently implemented by KFLA Public Health, all students and staff in an impacted class cohort must now isolate for 10 days and get a PCR test. These new guidelines have impacted our ability to effectively staff the school for in-person learning and to ensure a safe learning environment. These staffing pressures are being felt across the Limestone District School Board. This means all students will have to pivot to remote, virtual learning next week, effective Monday December 13 until December 17, 2021.

The decision to move classes from in-person to virtual learning will allow continuity in your student’s learning. If a device is required, please let your student’s teacher know, and you will receive another message tomorrow about how and when to pick up the device.”
