Six new COVID-19 cases reported in KFLA on Wednesday, active count up to 31

KFLA Public Health noted six new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, offset by three recoveries to place the active case count at 31.

The latest cases involve a female in her 20s, female in her 30s and male in his 70s with the possible method of infection under investigation. A female in her 30s and female in her 40s tested positive after being in close contact with a previously known case and a female in her 20s tested positive in a travel related infection.

According to a video released by KFLA medical officer of health Kieran Moore, there have been two cases at a workplace in Napanee. In the interest of privacy the health unit will not disclose the name of the business but will be in contact with anyone they feel should get tested. Moore noted there is no risk to the public.

KFLA has now seen 272 cases since the start of the pandemic, 241 of which have recovered with no deaths.
