Join Jade Peter on Dec. 12 from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. for a second Facebook live concert to raise funds for the Napanee Community Kitten Rescue (NCKR).
This 13-year-old from Napanee is raising funds for the NCKR as she holds the charity means a lot to her.
“I always love helping small charities like the kitten rescue,” expressed Peter. “My mom and I both foster cats so it’s always been a charity really close to our hearts.”
The first fundraiser Peter’s raised around $1,000 for the NCKR, with Paulmac’s Pets in Napanee matching every dollar up to $500 bringing the total to $1,500 for the NCKR.
Peter’s called the fundraiser “Meowy 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Countdown Fundraiser for Napanee Community Kitten Rescue” and set her fundraising goal at $500. She will be singing some Christmas carols such as Jingle Bells and Last Christmas, as well as some familiar pop songs.
“There are a couple Christmas carols but there are also a couple of songs I’ve sang before,” Peter stated.
“I’m hoping to raise maybe around $500, I set my goal first for around $250 and then thought that I can get to $500. The first fundraiser was a lot of fun and it raised a lot of money so I decided for Christmas why not do another one,” she added.
