There is always a sense of pride when one displays our nation’s flag.
The flag unites us in freedom. The maple leaf is displayed on the many headstones of our great Canadian Service men and women who have given their lives in war to keep us free. And, that is why it saddens me so to see many of the flags on display both on private homes, community businesses and town properties tattered and blowing in the wind in such a sorry state. It’s wonderful that you choose to fly our nations flag. However, please do so in the manner befitting this important national symbol – with the dignity that it so deserves.
