There’s no need to pout or cry-and here’s why-Santa Claus is coming to towns in and around Lennox and Addington.

And even though he’s quite busy this time of year, he’s made himself and Mrs. Claus available for individual parades in several neighbouring communities.

On Nov. 25 he’ll be in Deseronto for a parade, starting at 4 p.m. from Water and Mill Streets. The parade will make its way through Thomas and Mill Streets, with donations to the local Food Bank accepted from spectators along the way. Following the parade there will be a community tree lighting in Rathbun Park.

Also on Nov. 25, Loyalist Township will host their 21st annual Light Up The Season event, running from 3-5 p.m. The event will include horse-drawn wagon rides, cookies and hot chocolate, music, ornament making and a visit from holiday helpers. Trees throughout Fairfield Park will be illuminated for the first time and will glow each night until early February. Guests are encouraged to park at the WJ Henderson Arena (322 Amherst Dr. in Amherstview) and enjoy a free shuttle ride to the event in Bath.

On Nov. 26 Santa will make his way over to Tamworth, kicking off a parade at 1 p.m. from Concession Street, followed by Santa’s Store at the Tamworth Legion.

On Dec. 2 he’ll anchor Greater Napanee’s Parade of Lights, which gets underway at 5:30 p.m. The parade will follow its usual route of departing from Enviro Park Lane (next to Napanee District Secondary School), proceeding to Dundas Street and looping back around via Bridge Street and back to Belleville Road.

Floats can still register for the Napanee parade on the events and festivals page on www.greaternapanee.com up until Dec. 1. Registration fee is a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Salvation Army.

On Dec. 3 Santa will be in Newburgh for their parade, which kicks off at 1 p.m. Prior to the parade the Hollow Square Market will be hosting a pop-up market, featuring gifts and stocking stuffers from local vendors, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
