In a recent letter to the editor, writer Marven Durling comments on previous conversations and opinions regarding abortion rights. One section caught my eye.Durling writes: “Prolife groups cannot and do not force a woman not to have an abortion. They cover options and let the woman decide for themselves”
I submit that what is described here is the pro-choice stance, not the pro-life position. Pro-choice would never force anyone to have an abortion, and would absolutely support you if your personal opinion was that you believe that abortion is wrong, for you. Where the line is drawn is when you believe that abortion is wrong for everyone, and work to remove those choices from others.
