RANEY, Bill
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of William Andrew Raney of Napanee at age 47, at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Beloved husband of Jennifer Raney and loving father to Jack, Gavin and Rachel. Dear son of William and Susan Raney and son-in-law to Barb Hayes and the late Dale Hayes. Brother of Tracey Raney (Tim Nieguth) and brother-in-law to Tom Hayes (Stephanie Thrower) and uncle of Archie and Lily Casselman. Bill loved his family first and foremost, he enjoyed soccer, coaching and playing hockey, and just about anything hockey. A Celebration of His Life was held at the Hannah Funeral Home in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) as an informal gathering of family, friends and colleagues on Wednesday, December 20, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions for Jack, Gavin and Rachel would be appreciated by Bill’s family.
