Poppy Rocks

Napanee Legion Branch 137 president Kathy Gardiner (left) and second vice Peggy Sunstrum (right) stand next to Cal and Abby Kelsey, who painted rocks in honour of Remembrance Day. The poppy-adorned rocks, which are part of the #NapaneeRocks movement, will be hidden around town. The hope is that anyone who finds them will be reminded of the many sacrifices made by Canadian soldiers. Inspired by Kindness Rocks, the project calls on residents to paint uplifting messages or pictures onto rocks and to spread them throughout the community. Photo by Adam Prudhomme.
