Police seize cannabis, cash and equipment from Drive Inn Road

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have seized nearly 6,000 thousand cannabis plants in Greater Napanee.

CSCU officers, along with members of the Lennox and Addington OPP Detachment, OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a warrant on Sept. 8 at two locations on Drive Inn Road.

Investigators seized nearly 6,000 cannabis plants, 600 pounds of cannabis shake (which is used in the production of cannabis resin), nearly $3,500 Canadian currency, a van and a variety of equipment used for production of cannabis.

Three people were arrested in the area.

These accused have been charged with:

  • Cultivate, propagate or harvest more than four cannabis plants
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime

The accused individuals have been released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Nov. 3.
