On Nov. 29 at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a building on County Road 8 in Greater Napanee.
Police arrived on scene moments after the call and located two suspects inside the building. Both suspects were arrested without incident and transported to detachment for processing. Police seized break in tools and a small amount of suspected fentanyl from the scene.
L&A County OPP have charged a 42-year-old from Quinte West, with:
- Break and enter
- Possession of break in instruments
- Theft
- Fail to comply with probation
- Possession of a Schedule I substance
Also charged is a 51-year-old of Belleville with:
- Break and enter
- Possession of break in instruments
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
The first suspect was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Jan. 22, 2022.
The second was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Dec. 1.
