Police catch pair of shoplifting suspects outside Napanee business

On Aug. 5 at approximately 4 p.m. officers of the Lennox and Addington (OPP responded to a report of shoplifting at a business on Alkenbrack Street in Napanee.

Officers located and arrested two suspects in the parking lot resulting in the recovery of stolen property (toiletries) with a value of approximately $3,000

As a result of the investigation L&A County OPP have charged 26-year-old and 27-year-old, both of Scarborough under the Criminal Code with:

  • Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5,000
  • Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting

Both  accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Oct. 6.
